I probably wouldn't have bothered this year either except for the "Luck of the Irish" vintage items that I found thrifting. (I will NOT have a St. Patrick's Day tote! I will NOT have a St. Patrick's Day tote! I will NOT...)
My next find was a vintage shamrock cookie cutter for $4.
I had always wanted to try this technique I found on By Wilma's blog. I ripped out the shamrock page in an old dictionary, found a shamrock graphic on the internet, printed it on my inkjet printer and framed it in a 4x6 black frame that I already owned.
I purchased some green and white mints in a bag at the Dollar Store, and filled a old jar.
Then it was just a matter of putting it all together in a little black cubby on my over-the-kitchen-sink shelf.

Carlene,
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Those vanity jars were my mom's...
I didn't decorate for St. Patty's Day either until last year when I decided to decorate the 4 foot tree in the Den. So my Den will have a bit of St. Patty's decorations and the rest of the house will be decorated for Easter....
Green and White candies.. I am heading there today to check it out...
Hugs,
Deb
This is one cute vignette Carlene and love that little cubby box you use. I need to make me one like that. You are so clever.
Blessings,

I really like the primitive cookie cutter, and the starlite mints in the jar are a clever addition to your decor!
Luck of the Irish Vignette. I have never decorated for St. Patrick's Day before. I guess since I am not Irish it never occurred to me. Love all your crafty ideas!
How charming, Carlene! I love this vignette...and I need to try the printer project!
