Changing Up The Kitchen Vignettes

I moved things around in the kitchen today.

This is a new purchase.

I purchased this old hanging, dovetailed wooden box.  It has some character but I paid $20 for it at an antique shop.  I had some Christmas money burning a hole in my pocket.  I filled it with vintage wooden utensils.

Last year I went with a coffee themed vignette right after Christmas here on the corner built in too.  This one is different.

I have added various coffee pots, a red thermos for color, an old Folger's coffee can and puzzle, and a Barrington coffee scoop.

I moved the green shutter to the other kitchen wall.  I had this coffee pot print hanging in the laundry room.  I also moved the jar print above it from the laundry room door.

That's the old colander I paid $1 for just before Christmas.

I took down the family photos in this corner.  I am going to add them to a gallery wall.

This is Organized Clutter!

Love your newly decorated corner. Fun to be able to just move stuff around and get a very different look. Love the new (old) dovetailed box. I love old wooden stuff. I would be embarrassed to show all I have collected.

Love the coffee corner. The dove tailed box is pretty special too. I just can't get into redecorating after Christmas for some reason. I took my stuff down on New Year's Day and it's still looking pretty pathetic and bare. I was trying to convince myself that I was going for a minimalistic look, but it's really just the lazy girl look.

Your newest purchase was well worth the $20 you spent on it! I love all of your old utensils, too.

The changes make it fun. I like that picture of the different coffee pots of the ages. And I'm with you, if there's money burning a hole, you gotta get it out of there and spent!

This looks amazing, Carlene. Corners are often hard to decorate but you have done a top job on this one. It's just precious with all your cute "stuff"....

With all this packing and clutter and "drivin' me nuts" stuff around, I live for the day I can, once again, try to make something pretty.:)

Wonderful coffee corner! I remember seeing lots of those old coffee tins outside the tenant houses--just rusting where they threw them out the back door. Sure wish I'd stopped and picked them up!
